Treasure!!!!! Empty Treasure!!!!!

The Pearl written by the anonymous poet offers a reflection on the attitude towards Christianity at the time. In this article, the case is made that the poet uses treasure as an extended metaphor not only to mock the avarice nature of man but to enhance the treasures of heaven.
